Okros & Okros, P.L.L.C., specializes exclusively in family law matters. The firm’s practice is located in Clarkston, Michigan, and its attorneys are licensed to practice law throughout the state of Michigan. The firm’s attorneys include Joseph P. Okros and Ann-Marie Okros. Together they have more than 20 years of family law experience. The firm has extensive experience with cases involving complex asset issues and litigious child custody disputes.

Specializing in a specific area, such as family law, allows us to solely concentrate in one area of law. This is extremely important since family law, as well as most areas of law, has become very complex. Family case law, statutes and legislative actions are constantly changing and evolving. Our concentration allows us to keep abreast of these rapid changes. This in turn allows us to represent our clients to the fullest of our abilities.

The strength of our firm is the ability to personalize each case. We offer a highly personalized approach to each client’s case. Certain divorces involve fiercely litigating issues surrounding assets, while other cases may require sensitive negotiation of emotionally charged issues such as infidelity or treatment of a child. Different cases require different approaches. We determine that approach by carefully listening to our clients’ concerns and then acting to protect their interests.

Ann-Marie Okros is a graduate of the University of Detroit Mercy School of Law, where she was a Co-Chair of the Saint Thomas More Society, a member of the Moot Court Board and was selected for the American Inn of Court. She completed her undergraduate studies from Michigan State University with a Bachelor of Arts degree in the Social Sciences Multi-Disciplinary program with emphasis in psychology, sociology and political science.

Joseph P. Okros is a graduate of the Detroit College of Law. He has an MBA from Michigan State University, Eli Broad Executive program, giving him special knowledge in property settlement issues involving business and more complex financial issues. He completed his undergraduate studies from Oakland University with a Bachelor of Arts degree in History.
